Chef’s Corner : Crispy Baguettes Sesame & Garlic Ham & Asparagus Topper
Ingredients:
2 tbsp (25 mL) light mayonnaise
1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon or spicy mustard
1 lb (450 g) fresh asparagus, tips only (use spears for other purpose)
4-6 slices ham, cut into 1 inch (2.5 cm) strips
Preparation:
• Combine mayonnaise and mustard and set aside.
• Cook asparagus tips until tender crisp.
• Roll ham around each asparagus tip.
• Spread mayonnaise mixture thinly on Sesame & Garlic Crispy Baguettes.
• Top with ham roll. Makes 24-30 toasts.
