Dare Foods Introduces grainsfirst
Dare Foods Inc. announces its new cracker, grainsfirst, to the United States. Developed and formulated in the company’s Spartanburg, South Carolina plant, grainsfirst is baked with 10 all-natural whole grains and seeds, such as rye, barley, oats, brown rice, black sesame seeds and poppy seeds. Gary MacLeod, President, Dare USA, asserts, “We are really proud of this cracker. You can actually see all the grains and seeds. Plus, look on the side of the box, and you’ll see grains first in the ingredients listing.”
MacLeod continues, “Consumers are seeking out whole grains now more than ever. Grainsfirst offers a more health-ful alternative to other snacks, and yet is still an incredibly delicious cracker.”
Touted as being robust enough to eat on its own, yet wonderful with toppings, grainsfirst is also low in saturated fat and baked with 0g trans fat. Each serving (18g or 4 crackers) provides about 5g whole grains and about 7g whole grains and seeds. This innovative new cracker, available in 8.8oz. boxes, is expected to hit shelves in August 2006.
