Toronto, March 9, 2026 – Made with real chocolate, fluffy marshmallow, and a soft cookie base, Whippet cookies have been a beloved treat in Quebec for nearly 100 years. Baked in Cambridge, Ontario by family‑owned Canadian company Dare Foods, this iconic cookie is gaining popularity across the country.
What if a single bite could transport you somewhere else? Dentsu Creative Canada, in partnership with Dare Foods, has just launched a new campaign for Whippet built around a simple, irresistible idea: “Need an escape? Have a Whippet.” The campaign reimagines the iconic cookie as more than a treat – it’s a playful, delicious moment of pause when life gets overwhelming.

At the heart of the campaign is a relatable, slightly awkward moment in a suburban home. A woman finds herself in an awkward interaction with her husband until her gaze shifts to something far more satisfying: a Whippet cookie.
“This campaign captures a relatable exchange between partners and humorously shows how Whippet cookies can give you a sweet escape,” said Deborah Attwood, Senior Marketing Director at Dare Foods. “It’s a playful reminder that even ordinary situations can shift when you treat yourself with Whippet.”
Through rich, close-up shots of the real chocolate coating, fluffy marshmallow filling, and soft cookie base, the campaign highlights the multisensory pleasure that makes every bite feel like an escape.
“The campaign builds on Whippet’s belief that a treat can satisfy more than just a sweet tooth. It can spark the imagination, offer a sense of emotional relief and transform an ordinary moment into something unexpectedly delightful. In a world of constant noise, we leaned into the idea of Whippet as a true moment of pause.” said Ari Elkouby, Chief Creative Officer at Dentsu Creative Canada.
A beloved brand, Whippet is taking this opportunity to connect with a younger audience and expand its appeal in the rest of Canada. The campaign will be supported through a dynamic mix of TV, digital, and in‑store activations, giving media and audiences multiple touchpoints to experience Whippet. The storytelling positions Whippet as a relatable treat for Canadians everywhere, taking it from a nostalgic favourite to a culturally relevant symbol of sweet indulgence.
