Accounts Payable Analyst

Permanent, Full Time + Cambridge, ON

Accounts Payable Analyst

We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst with AP or Accounting experience in a fast pace environment to join our team in Cambridge.  This role will be responsible for invoice processing, vendor payments, and managing various processes on a rotation basis within the team.  This position requires a highly detail-oriented person with strong EXCEL skills; a team player with the ability to problem-solve.



  • Contribute to the full cycle accounts payable process (multi currency; multi-entity)
  • Work with business units to resolve PO/Invoice discrepancies
  • Manage blocked items regularly & follow up with business areas on discrepancies (price; quantity; etc.)
  • Train/Collaborate with other cross functional departments
  • Develop/maintain documents and spreadsheets
  • Verify invoices for proper approvals
  • Ensure accurate processing of invoices using 3-way matching (compare vendor invoice with purchase orders and goods receipts)
  • Generate weekly payments (ACH; cheques; wires) using an ERP system


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn and take on challenge of learning new systems and technology
  • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for detail
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • 2+ years experience in AP or Accounting role preferred
  • Post-secondary education (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong process and time management skills
  • Working experience in SAP is an asset
  • Good work ethic with positive attitude and desire to work as a team
