Accounts Payable Analyst– Cambridge, ON

We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst with AP or Accounting experience in a fast pace environment to join our team in Cambridge. This role will be responsible for invoice processing, vendor payments, and managing various processes on a rotation basis within the team. This position requires a highly detail-oriented person with strong EXCEL skills and ability to problem-solve discrepancies.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the full cycle accounts payable process (multi currency; multi-entity)
  • Work with business units to resolve PO/Invoice discrepancies
  • Manage blocked items regularly & follow up with business areas on discrepancies (price; quantity; etc.)
  • Train/Collaborate with other cross functional departments
  • Develop/maintain documents and spreadsheets
  • Verify invoices for proper approvals
  • Ensure accurate processing of invoices using 3-way matching (compare vendor invoice with purchase orders and goods receipts)
  • Generate weekly payments (ACH; cheques; wires) using an ERP system on rotating basis
  • Handle inquiries and statement reconciliation
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years experience in AP or Accounting role preferred
  • Willingness to learn and take on challenge of learning new systems and technology
  • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excels in problem-solving with an aptitude for detail along with time management and process improvement skills
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Working experience in SAP is an asset
  • Good work ethic with positive attitude and desire to work as a team
