Customer Sales Planning Analyst (US Team)

Permanent, Full Time + Cambridge, ON

Customer Sales Planning Analyst (US Team)

The successful applicant is an energetic, self-motivated, team player who is able to work independently and well with others across cross-functional business units (demand planning, marketing, supply chain, finance) which is critical to the success of this position.  A strong sense of urgency and ability to proactively impact the demand and sales call is required. This role is based in Cambridge and the office is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (in-office 1-2 days per week).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Key Account Managers to manage their promotional and baseline plans within Promax, provide forecasting visibility for their volume and trade spend
  • Optimize their accounts overall business plan in terms of maximizing Net Sales dollars, Margin and Sales Contribution while freeing up time for the Key Account Managers to pursue profitable selling opportunities
  • Analysis and interpretation of market and customer data; identifying opportunities and insights that will help drive sales strategy.
  • Development and preparation of fact-based Category reviews, Customer presentations and annual budget planning
  • Sales representative for internal processes (recurring & ad hoc projects, new item, S&OP reviews, etc)
  • Exposure to senior levels of management while providing monthly commentary to the VP of Sales upon the close of each period on sales performance drivers
  • Provide Period End report, track broker commissions
  • Clear all Listing and Clearance deductions for US accounts; regular interaction with finance team

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education (Business degree is preferred),
  • 3+ years of progressive sales management or analytics experience
  • Strong strategic, analytical and technical skills, along with written and oral communication
  • Demonstrate a proactive sense of urgency while managing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SPINS, Promax, SAP, Cognos and various syndicated data are all strong assets
  • Ability to excel as a cross functional team member
