Distribution Supervisor

Dare Foods Limited is a private, family owned portfolio of brands established in 1892. Our head office is in Cambridge Ontario. We have been located in the K-W area since the family’s original store opened in 1892.

Distribution Supervisor - Cambridge (Night Shift – Sunday to Thursday 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)

The successful applicant for this opportunity is a highly motivated and results oriented individual. You will provide leadership to a team of dedicated individuals in both distribution and our co-packing operation to meet and exceed our performance and customer service commitments through effective communication, coaching and development of team members.

Responsibilities:

• Promoting and ensuring the health and safety of the team.
• Lead by example in supporting the organizations quality policies.
• Determine daily labor requirements and organize resources are needed to do the work effectively and in a timely manner.
• Co-ordinating the supply of a variety of display tools (shippers, display ready pallets, club packs).
• Ensuring quality and productivity standards (KPI’s) are met through development and execution of standard operating procedures including product traceability.
• Facilitate and adapt to daily priorities.
• Provide feedback to team members to support a continuous improvement culture.
• Support internal and external partners (Customer Service Representatives, Production Planners, Carriers etc.) of the business to ensure the operational goals are being accomplished.
• Ensure confidentiality regarding employee business issues.
• Actively address issues and work collaboratively to resolve conflict ensuring that documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Utilize WMS and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) to communicate schedules, define processes and communicate expectations.

Your highly developed communication, organizational and problem-solving skills will be coupled with 2 - 5 years of logistics experience and a college diploma/university degree in logistics, materials management or a related field. Previous experience working with SAP and WMS systems would be considered assets.
