We are looking for one full time Production Planner to join our team. This position will be based out of our Corporate office in Cambridge and will be responsible for scheduling plants in other regions.

As a member of the Production Planning Team, you will be responsible for the tactical execution of ordering and maintaining inventory replenishment of a multi-line facility. You are comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You can react to forecasts, seasonality and schedule changes by adjusting inventory patterns and will apply effective analytical skills and root cause analysis. Your skills will be complemented by your ability to collaborate with other departments and build a strong internal network of customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • development and maintenance of the master production schedule
  • ordering and monitoring optimized levels of raw and operating materials
  • optimal inventory levels while ensuring customer service targets are met
  • communicate with Corporate Supply Chain regarding performance
  • working with the Production team for optimal plant efficiency
  • working with internal departments to satisfy external customer’s needs
  • establish and implement continuous improvement projects
  • manage an effective cycle count program
The Successful applicant will have:
  • A post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent experience in manufacturing, operations, food manufacturing or related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience, with an understanding of MRP and Production Planning, the company’s products and its approach to Order Management and Demand Planning
  • Team oriented, self-motivated and highly organized.
  • A strong analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Experience managing virtual teams.
  • Ability to perform tasks independently.
  • Experience with SAP and process development is an asset.
