Quality Assurance Support

Contract 14 months + Vancouver/Richmond BC

Quality Assurance Support

Type - 14 month contract

Location - Vancouver Plant, on-site

Salary Range - $45,000-$60,000

This role will be based out of our Lesley Stowe Vancouver manufacturing facility and will be responsible for quality activities on the afternoon shift, in addition to supporting the overall development and maintenance of the site Quality Systems. The successful applicant for this opportunity has knowledge of HACCP, is a strong communicator, highly organized, and capable of working independently or in a team environment. This role will also include any ad-hoc activities required of the Quality Department and may require work on off-shifts as well.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead site sanitation and environmental monitoring program
  • Verify daily production batch documents
  • Complete product quality evaluations
  • Host daily Food Review, and participate in Daily Production Meeting where required
  • Administer Hold and Release programs
  • Coach Operators on daily quality testing
  • Perform internal audits
  • Complete training on HACCP, Quality & Food Safety, Food Defense, etc.
  • Investigate and respond to all critical consumer complaints and provide monthly statistical data
  • Other activities that arise daily pertaining to the safety and quality of our products


Essential Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Food Science Technology/Engineering or related field
  • 1-2 years relevant working experience in a food manufacturing environment with involvement in sanitation, GMPs, HACCP and Quality Programs
  • Knowledge of SQF/ BRC or similar GFSI standards
  • HACCP and Food Safety practical and theoretical knowledge
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate in Punjabi / Hindi is a strong asset
  • Ability to perform tasks effectively both individually and as a member of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Word and Excel to manage and analyze quality data
