Senior SAP Business Analyst

We are looking for a Senior SAP Business Analyst to join our Information Services department in Cambridge.  Here you will work in a fast-paced environment with experienced and passionate team members with a goal of driving profitable business growth and delivering against our Made Better Promise.

Senior SAP Business Analyst

The successful applicant for this opportunity is a highly motivated, self-starter.  A professional communicator, problem solver and a team-oriented individual who is reliable and takes ownership and initiative in his/her work. Your strong configuration knowledge of SAP SD along with Credit Management is required to assist with the ongoing process improvement and support.  Project management experience is an asset as you will be responsible to create, manage and facilitate change on projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, testing and implementation of SAP SD and Credit Management configuration and functionality
  • Deliver changes through SAP IMG (configuration tree) and Process Design
  • Understand business priorities, analyze complex problems, propose automated systems and processes which align to best practice within applications
  • Support development and approval of business cases by translating user and/or system requirements into functional specifications delivering application and process improvements
  • Liaise between developers and end users to ensure technical compatibilities meet service level requirements while facilitating user acceptance
  • Maintain Business Process Design Documentation
  • Develop functional specifications that accurately translates business requirements into system configuration and/or process changes.
  • Proactively keep abreast of functional area’s business requirements and ability to prioritize requests and drive results.
  • Analyze SAP user exit designs for use within SD transactions to enhance SAP functionality
  • Work with technical team to design and develop Interfaces
  • Prepare test scenarios, write and execute test scripts for application changes, patches and upgrades
  • Trouble shoot and resolve end user issues, documenting the issue and solution
  • Develop end user documentation for new processes and systems
  • Develop Training plan and deliver Training to end users
  • Lead Small Project Process, including timelines, budget, resources, escalation, analysis, presentations
  • Provide regular project updates to senior leadership team.
  • Establish good working relationships and processes with all departments to smooth design, development, deployment and maintenance activity.
  • Strong focus on delivery and quality; ability to ensure quality and accuracy of reports and deliverables, with a focus on attention to detail and urgency.
  • Support business for Year end reporting and Audit requests
  • Support master data changes, execute master data mass changes
  • Support Logistics team in SAP Order to Cash processes including lead time, routes and factory calendar maintenance, ATP Available to Promise
  • Collaborate with other functional analysts on the detail solution design to ensure cross-functional impacts are addressed and impact is recognized and addressed.
  • Mobile Sales (Salesforce) - support application, end user issue resolution, create and maintain job aids, maintain master training document, identify gaps and work with Vendor on resolution, system administration (duties are under review at this time), support use of POS and Nielsen data from external sources

 

Industry Skills/Knowledge: 

  • Consumer Package Goods Experience
  • High level of understanding of the Order to Billing Process, Pricing, Deals, Accruals and ability to implement changes in SAP
  • Knowledge of DSD (Direct Store Delivery) and Warehouse Delivery models
  • Strong understanding of Credit Processes and Procedures
  • Master Data knowledge (Customers, Materials, Output, Hierarchy, Pricing, Payment Terms)
  • EDI concepts, procedures and master data set up to support the business use of Purchase Orders, PO Confirmation, ASN and Invoices

 

Experience: 

  • 5+ years experience in a SAP configuration role in SAP SD Functional Areas
  • SAP Business process integration knowledge in other areas like SD? MM? and FICO
  • Cognos BI or other Data Warehouse System like BW Experience preferred
  • Technical skills include - SAP (Sales & Distribution), Salesforce.com (Consumer Goods Cloud, Tableau), Warehouse Management (interface touchpoints with SAP) and IBM Cognos Analytics
  • Proven leadership abilities (ability to provide clear examples of successful projects that you have implemented within the last 5 years)
  • Experience working on an S4 HANA and SAP ECC implementation or an SAP upgrade
  • Proven presentation skills translating technical requirements to all levels of business users. Experience in managing 3rd party suppliers, designing functional specifications that accurately translates business requirements into system configuration and/or process change.
  • Experience of working in Consumer Package Goods industry
  • Exposure in S4 HANA implementation or support is preferred
