Ingredients

  • 1 box of Breton Original or Breton Multigrain crackers
  • 3 x 3 oz of Brie cheese wheels
  • 4 oz white Cheddar cheese
  • 1 oz Cheddar Cheese
  • 5 oz Salami
  • Mix of garnishes including: produce (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, cranberries and sultana raisins), nuts (roasted almonds, honey roasted cashews, pecans and pistachio) and condiments (sweet & spicy pepper jelly or orange marmalade)

Preparation

  1. Select your (food safe) board or platter to start. We like to use a large round wooden cutting board or charcuterie board, which you can find at a home or kitchen store.
  2. Place 3 rounds of Brie cheese in the centre of the board.
  3. Add a small bowl with pepper jelly or orange marmalade, for guests to top their cheese and Breton crackers.
  4. Add your salami to the board. Cut salami in a few slices.
  5. Add your Breton crackers, fanning them out around the board.
  6. Fill the board with toppings and pairings: blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, sultana raisins, roasted almonds, honey roasted cashews, pecans and pistachio.
  7. Cut a few of pieces of white Cheddar cheese in the shape of a star (or any other shape) and place them on top of Breton crackers and other toppings.
  8. Finally, garnish with salami, raspberries, Cheddar cheese, cranberry and blueberries (to add details to your snowman).

Pro Tip

A mix of different crackers are a great option to create both a plentiful look and provide variety for your guests.  Consider including Breton Gluten Free crackers for those that may need an alternative option, as well as a mix of Breton Original and Multigrain crackers.
