Ingredients

  • Halloumi
  • Fresh Figs, diced
  • Reduced Balsamic
  • Kosher or Flake Salt

Preparation

  1. Slice your halloumi into ¼”- ½“ rounds and pat dry with paper towel. Preheat your BBQ to 400F.
  2. Use indirect heat to grill-mark both sides of your Halloumi rounds. Season with kosher or flake salt.
  3. Place halloumi rounds onto Breton Cracked Pepper crackers, and top with a tsp of fresh chopped figs and a drizzle of reduced balsamic.

Pro Tip

  • Reduced balsamic is a great pantry item with a lot of flavour, and a little bit will last you a long time.
  • If you can’t find fresh fig then dry figs will work just fine, just dice them a little bit finer
  • You can grill your figs for extra bbq-flavour if you’re feeling ambitious. Just halve them before you throw them on your BBQ. You can also skewer them first to keep them from falling down the cracks of the BBQ
